About us

Welcome to our website! We are happy that you are interested in taking active ownership of your health, and we would love to guide you on that path.

The seeds of Holistic Therapies were planted as we met at the Paracelcus Heilpraktikerschule in Mainz in the spring of 2018. Through our studies of alternative therapies we refined our   approach of helping people improve their health, leading to the opening of our beautiful practice space in May of 2022.

We offer integrative therapies ranging from nutritional evaluation and stress management to pain relief, taking into account that each patient is distinct and unique.

We see our relationship to our patients as a collaboration. Not only do we treat them, but we also empower them through helping them understand how their bodies work, so they can take an active part in creating vitality, health and relief from pain.

We look forward to meeting you in person!

Maja Sidebaeck

Heilpraktikerin

Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, I lived in New York City for over 20 years where I pursued two of my passions – music and yoga. I’m a singer/songwriter since childhood and a dedicated yoga teacher since 2006. In 2017 I moved to Mainz-Gonsenheim with my husband and two daughters, where I began my studies to become a Heilpraktikerin. After passing the Heilpraktikerexam in 2021, I attended the Center for Neurosomatic Studies in Clearwater, Florida and received my certification in 2022.

For a long time I’ve been working to deepen my knowledge of the body in order to help people feel better. My long experience of teaching yoga, paired with the skills I’ve learned through Neurosomatic Therapy have given me the tools to get people into balance and out of pain. I am passionate about helping people create the change they need in order to find freedom in their bodies.

Gesundheitsberaterin

Hi! I am Clara and I am your health consultant.

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I studied marine biology and worked for almost ten years as a science teacher at different schools in Colombia. Not only that, but I have always been curious about naturopathy and alternative medicine. Through the years, I have learned about plants, energy and other techniques, that help our body to recover and heal.

In 2013 I moved to Mainz with my husband and my kids. Seeking to improve my German by doing things that I love, I have become a diving teacher and also studied for three years in the Paracelsus school for Naturopathy and Phytotherapy. In 2019 I fell in love with the Functional Medicine approach and started my education as a Functional Medicine Practitioner in 2021 at the Institute of Functional Medicine in the USA. In 2009 I also started La Bruja Lab, where I make natural products like deodorants and hand creams for people with sensitive skin or allergy problems.

I believe in the body’s ability to heal itself. Since I was little, I have experienced illnesses that have no obvious causes, but that have affected my body and my health. Instead of taking medications my whole life, I have learned to treat illnesses differently. I discovered that our bodies are so perfectly constructed that they work hard to keep us alive, even when we don’t treat them well, and how food is information and medicine for our mind, body and soul. I love to show people how their body works and what happens to it when they have a certain condition, but the best part is to help them to make changes and see improvements in their lives.
